PROMOTING RESTORATIVE JUSTICE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT

Webinar Training Series

This webinar series was created at Rhode Island College to support law enforcement officers. Five one-hour, professionally produced training videos provide officers with the tools and skills they need to become more involved in the solution to stop violence and keep our communities safe. This innovative series provides resources and information to support professional development and advance community policing and was created by a team effort of educators, students, and law enforcement personnel.

Dr. Jill Harrison, Allison Barry, M.A., Salma Diakhate, Luciano, Kaleigh Poirier, Lindsay Tahan, M.A. and Matt Eisemann collaborated with an expert panel of law enforcement officers: Det. Lieutenant John A'Vant(Retired); Colonel James Mendonca; Det. Lieutenant Diana Perez; Officer Gargar Grimes; Officer Flavio Tavares; Officer Kevin Roca and Officer Mike Martufi. A special thank you to the TV production staff at Rhode Island College and the RIC Committee on Dialogue, Diversity and Inclusion.
